Ana R. Ortiz, DDS

Dr. Ortiz was born in Cuba, but has lived in the United States since she was a year old. She was raised in Diamond Bar, California. She has one beautiful son who is almost nine. He is an avid swimmer and animal lover. Dr. Ortiz attended Bishop Amat High School and the University of Southern California (USC) where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.

Dr. Ortiz received her Doctorate in Dentistry from the UCLA School of Dentistry in 1993. In 1994 she received a certificate in Hospital Dentistry from the Veterans Hospital in Palo Alto, CA. She practiced in northern California for 7 years before returning to her home in southern California.

Dr. Ortiz has resided in Redondo Beach since 2001 and opened her practice in the South Bay because she fell in love with the area.

Dr. Ortiz attended the very first certification course for Invisalign Orthodontics and has since received a secondary Advanced Invisalign certification. Dr. Ortiz has received certificates in hard and soft tissue grafting in preparation for Implant placement and has attended a mini-residency in Implant placement for NobelBiocare Implants.Dr. Ortiz has extensive experience in the placement of cosmetic porcelain veneers (including daVinci veneers and Lumineers), and tooth-colored fillings. The most gratifying part of her career is the impact it can have on a persons’ self-esteem. She brings such personal warmth to her patient care that it is impressive.

Dr. Oritz is currently obtaining an MBA, with a concentration in Healthcare Administration to be completed in spring 2010.

Julie Mendez , Registered Dental Assistant

Julie is a native of Los Angeles, California. She is the mother of two beautiful children. Julie has been working in the dental field for 9-1/2 years. She attended the Southern California Regional Occupational Center in Torrance where she obtained her dental assisting education. She is a licensed Registered Dental Assistant. She has also obtained X-ray and Coronal Polishing licenses. She maintains her CPR certification as well. Julie is an integral part of our dental team and has worked with Dr. Ortiz since 2005. She loves to interact with the patients and her favorite clinical duty is to prepare the patients for “ZOOM” Teeth Whitening.

Olga Sierra-Gonzalez , Front Office Manager

Olga Sierra-Gonzalez was born in Los Angeles, California. She is married and has 2 step-daughters. She attended California State University-Dominguez Hills where she studied Psychology. Olga has been in the dental field for 15 years. She started as an appointment clerk soon out of high school and has learned all aspects of the front office throughout the years. She enjoys helping patients understand their dental benefits which can sometimes be very confusing. Building a strong and long-term relationship with patients is a very integral part of her job.

Tiffany Clark, Receptionist and Dental X-Ray Technician

Tiffany is originally from Birmingham, Alabama. She has been living in southern California since 2000. She is starting a new journey in dentistry. She recently received her certification as a dental x-ray technician and hopes to become a registered dental assistant in the near future.

Kristen Delio, Dental Hygienist

I was raised in Palos Verdes, CA where my father, Charles Delio, was an orthodontist for over 50 years. I attended USC as a Biology major and graduated from the Dental Hygiene Program at USC in 1991. I now live in Manhattan Beach. I enjoy the beach, dining out, spending time with friends, and recently working with organizations that rescue animals.

Debbie Taylor, Dental Hygienist

Debbie Taylor is a Registered Dental Hygienist and has been practicing for 34 years. She attended dental hygiene school at UCLA, which was sponsored by Los Angeles City College. She has been practicing most of her career in the South Bay area.
Debbie was born in Culver City and raised in Manhattan Beach. She has been married 33 years to her husband, Joe, who is retired Los Angeles Firefighter. They have two grown children, Chelsea and Brent. Her passions include yoga, long walks, reading, vintage cars and her two cats.
